Week 77 chemo compete: Big rock in the forest

Today I travelled to Brothers Creek Loop in West Vancouver.The tall Western Red Cedars were so beautiful to look at in the forest. I look forward to my next nature adventure and I’m enjoying my summer.

To recap: On Sunday, treatment July 31st, pills I completed Cycle 20 Week 1. I have Multiple Myeloma and anemia, a rare blood cancer. It is incurable, but treatable. From February to November 2013, I received Velcade chemo through weekly in-hospital injections as an outpatient. Since February 9th 2015, I have been on Pomalyst and dexamethasone chemo treatment (Pom/dex).

Friday evening I travelled to the Lynn Loop trail in North Vancouver. I stopped to watch the rushing water flowing down Lynn Creek – alone with my thoughts. Spending time in nature always makes me happy and has a positive benefit on my health.

From December 2019 I've been on Darzalex (daratumumab) IV chemo with Velcade (Bortezomib) injection chemo + dexamethasone. Have Multiple Myeloma + anemia, a rare incurable cancer of the immune system. Life goal: To spread awareness about Multiple Myeloma through my self-portraits. UBC MSc Grad.
